TUVAN THROAT SINGING for KIDSCrossroads Music and "All Around This World" present an incredible experience for kids 0-7 years old and their parents/caregivers. Alash Ensemble is a quartet of master throat singers from Tuva, a tiny republic in the heart of Central Asia. The ancient art of throat singing developed among the nomadic herdsmen of this region. Alash remains grounded in this tradition while expanding its musical vocabulary with new ideas from the West. On Wednesday, April 28, at 4pm, Alash will introduce you and your children to throat singing. Never heard Tuvan throat singing? See Alash's Kongol-ol Ondar performing on David Letterman.
