“May You All Prosper” — The Soviets sure knew how to Party

Are we not grateful? This week in class we sing “May You All Prosper,” a Soviet song about the bountiful gratitude we feel to those who generously hosted us at a party. We get a sense of our Soviet singing by watching this video of Russia’s Pyatnitsky Choir, which performed the first version of the song I heard here, filmed in 1953.
