“Don Don Hyarara,” aka “The Village Festival,” aka “Muramatsuri,” is a Japanese folk song released in the turbulent early 1940’s, written about simpler days attending traditional rural fair. It’s a musical day, and when you go there you simply must bring instruments like your flute and drum. You’ll eat, you’ll sing, you’ll eat some more.
