Both the Romania slideshow and the photos on portray the country as one with a reverence for its deep, rich history. The churches, the villages and towns, the people who inhabit the villages and towns…all seem to have been a natural part of Romania’s rolling, green landscape for hundreds of years, and comfortable with their connection to their nation’s past. This doesn’t seem to be a story of stagnant nation, but rather of a part of the world that accepts itself as a place where anything new will only exist in the context of the its history.

Make sure to take a quick look through the slideshow before sharing it with the kids.
