On Tuesday, April 28, Rabbi Gershom Sizomu of the Abayudaya community of Uganda spent a lovely morning in Philadelphia playing music in Hebrew, English and Luganda for All Around This World families, kids from the Children’s Community School, and friends from Kol-Tzedek synagogue and JKidPhilly.
Gershom is a superstar! Not only is he the Rabbi of a fascinating community of African Jews but he is also the co-composer of “We Are Happy,” which opens and closes every single All Around This World class. Even though we think about Gershom every day when we enjoy his music, we want Gershom to visit us in person again and again.
