Jay’s Scattered Among the Nations program takes seniors on a worldwide musical tour to explore the exciting global diversity of Jewish people and culture. In this engaging presentation Jay leads participants in singing songs Jew community members sing in Africa, Europe, Latin America, South and Central Asia and the Middle East. The presentation isn’t “religious,” doesn’t assume any knowledge of Jewish history or culture, doesn’t favor or promote any one Jewish denomination or way of life and, certainly, participants don’t have to be Jewish in order to enjoy it. The program lasts between 45 minutes and an hour. Jay will happily tailor the program to match your seniors’ interests, activity levels and needs.
One more option for seniors, available this summer . . . book an All Around This World concert with the Sand Family! Jay and the kids are going on tour again this summer and would love to play international music with seniors in your community. Sand Family shows are musical and fun, with Jay leading the exploration by sharing All Around This World songs, the kids harmonizing and playing along.
