For the last few days we’ve been singing American songs from way up north, music originating from the Yupik Nation. Today we change our tune and get down — all the way down south to the lower 48. And who better to help us “get down” than masters of musical funk, “Earth, Wind and Fire.” The band formed in Chicago in 1969 and has made groovy tunes every since, especially in the ’70s when they were making waves with disco.
