The Philippines–Tinikling

Tinikling is a traditional Filipino dance that consists of two dancers hitting bamboo poles on the ground and against each other while a third dancer hops between the poles. The dance originated in the Philippines’ central Visayan islands, inspired by the way the tinkling bird dodges rice farmers’ bamboo traps. Looks hard? No way! You too can learn how to dance the Tinikling In class we’re going to celebrate Ati-Atihan all night and Tinkinling-the day away.
